1. We have been able to consistently pull 15 - 20 people to meetings when we have interesting stuff, and this is back around 2002, so I'd imagine there's even more interest now.

2. Definitely. Xavier and I were talking about having up to 2 at each meeting, one aimed at novices, one for more advanced topics.

3. I'm going to look into getting one of the Sun labs at the University again. Software-oriented workshops could be done that way.

4. I'll start a thread where everyone can post what kinds of projects they'd be interested in collaborating on, and maybe we can get one or two things going.
