Good news - according to Benjamin Henrion of the FFII  http://www.ffii.org , OpenXML has already been rejected by the SCC - but they have not made their decision public - fearing Microsoft lobbying.

It wouldn't hurt to comment anyway, just in case there is some lobbying going on.
