First off let me say that it's nice to see WUUG up and running again, it's unfortunate there's no place for meetings yet. I first came across WUUG via a link from Aaron but didn't sign up then because there wasn't much activity. Hopefully WUUG will get back on track ;)

I'm curious as to what setups WUUG users are running at home. Personally I've used Mandrake, Redhat (before Fedora days), SimplyMEPIS, Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Debian, Arch, and some non desktop distro's like Coyote, SME, Clark-Connect, OpenBSD, DD-WRT, blah blah...

While I've been using Linux for 6-7 years now I've only been using it as a "full time" desktop solution for 3 years. I first started with SimplyMEPIS when I "dropped windows" and was happy. I currently use Arch which has a minimalistic approach similar to Slackware where you start from base and build up what you want. For those of you unfamiliar of Arch, it's package manager is comparable to debian's apt and it's fast like gentoo without the build from source (although there's a source package manager also). It's an i686 or x64 based distro. Ok enough plugging Arch :)

For DE's/WM's I've used Gnome, Blackbox, XFCE, and KDE. I mostly use KDE, I know it's bloat but "to each his own". I can't wait for KDE4! I also use beryl and I'm excited about the talks of beryl & compiz merging back together.

So what do you use??

Note: This post isn't supposed to be a fanboy post so lets not start those "x distro is better then y distro" arguments. After all Linux is about choice!
