I've run into a few problems. Thought I could pick your brains to help me debug it, since I really do like this Linux OS. Anyways, for any of you using it.. I can run the live-dvd no problem, fully functioning.. no problems.. however.. I've done serveral re-installs on my hard drive of the OS, and I'm encountering problems. The login opens up fine, sound is ok, graphics fine (though a friend gave me a command to run to change the xserver graphics.. though this didn't help). After entering my user name and password, GNOME loading "box" pops up.. 1 out of 20 tries I'll get to my desktop, about 4 out of 20 tries I'll get my desktop picture to load, have full mouse movement, able to use (crtl+alt+).. but nothing else appears and I can't get around this, and the rest of the time.. I'm left staring at a blank light colored background with basically the same functioning commands.
