I've set up a Wordpress site before, I can handle that.

As for making this forum public, I've been struggling with this since I started Windsor Board. Here's the deal: Phorum's set up so that (a) forums unreadable by a user are not visible, and (b) group forums are not readable unless a user has joined the associated group. This makes it so that you don't see the group in your forum index unless you've joined the group, kind of like subscribing to a newsgroup. I want to make some of the forums open to anonymous posting like the main forums, but then they'd be cluttering the group list for people who don't have anything to do with them. Imagine a year from now Windsor Board has 150 groups, and you can see how that would become a problem. The other option is to make the group forums world readable but invisible, but then even people in the groups wouldn't be able to see them in their forum index. I'm going to work on a hack to get around all of this.
