I was basically just going to put a blog script up, nothing fancy. Any suggestions for something really easy but customizable enough to give it a WUUG look and feel?

I also wanted to have a sidebar with an RSS feed of the forum, which is problematic because the RSS feed can only be read if a user is authenticated and joined to the WUUG group. I could probably write a little Perl script using LWP::UserAgent or something... web scripting is not my forte... again, any suggestions?
