I Like It (Ubuntu). :) IIRC there was a thread earlier this year
about open wireless access points. Do you have your wireless set up?

I've messed with abiword, it looked good. My install automatically
starts the X-server, and I use the Synaptic agent for installing other
software, so I don't have to mess with sudo, or logging in as root. I
installed KDE and use the Kontrol Centre in it to configure things.

Yes meetings are laptop open. I once brought a desktop system to one
for a trouble shooting session. I take it that this is an older laptop,
or one bought at a good price?
