[wuug-list] A New Member? (Mike McMullin)

Hi Mike! I'm using Ubunti 5.04 myself. :) Its not that
I can't connect 'technically' to the net, its that I
can't connect 'financially' to the internet. I'm
currently looking for a place to connect my laptop
that doesn't cost $4 an hour for the internet. 9_9
Until then I go to libraries and use the computers
there to connect to the library. 

What I want is abiword basically, nothing else really.
I have trouble doing installations of any packages
cause SUDO doesn't work for my user. I have to login
to  ROOT under CTRL+ALT+F1 in order to set the time,
do any admin stuff, and I have to use the 'startx'
because I'm not used to doing stuff in terminal, I
really need a GUI thats how I function best.

Our meetings, will I be able to bring my labtop so you
can see what I mean? I have to bring all my cables and
cords everywhere cause I have no battery, and I have
to  reset the date everytime I use my labtop after
unplugging it. Sucks majorly, I want a new battery! :(
