[wuug-list] A New Member?

I had a bit of trouble signing up with the 'join'
form, I guess it doesn't like Firefox? So I'm on the
mailing list.

Hello! I'm Jen! I'm running Ubuntu Linux on my
blueberry iBook and was hoping to find more linux/unix
users in the area who I can troubleshoot and learn
more from, cause connecting to the internet from the
library and going to message boards isn't nearly as
good as having people I can SHOW my labtop too and
explain my problems in person.

I'm currently able to use my iPod on my iBook with
some success, I have to transfer MP3's to my laptop
FROM my iBook in order to have them cause I can't
connect with the labtop to the internet right now. Go
figure. But otherwise, I have iPod.

Openoffice is REALLY slow, but I can't currently
install third party programs on my comp because ubuntu
linux requires you to connect to the internet to
install dependencies and everything. Ouch. I'm getting
a slackintosh CD soon to see if that version of linux
might be more suitable, and if not I might try Debian.
I don't need alot with my computer, just some cheapy
card and tile games, and a word processor and iPod
stuff. Thats it.

emails with you all, ;)
