[wuug-list] Status of the WUUG

Hey guys,

Since the summer is over, I think that it is time that we start meeting regularly again.

In the past we have had formal meetings at the the University of Windsor and St. Clair College.  Most recently we have been having informal meetings at Zehrs on Thursdays.

Since we haven't met in a couple months, I think that picking a new day of the week to meet is important.  My school schedule wont permit me to meet on Thursday nights, so I'm hoping we decide on another night.

Once we have a solid amount of members coming to our once-a-month meetings, we should be able to have both informal and formal meetings each month.  That is the goal.  Some groups go out for Pizza aside from their formal meetings.  I'm not opposed to that, and invite other ideas.

Regarding the website:

The software that our website runs (COMAS -- written by member Xavier Spriet) has stopped development, so sometime before Monday I will be switching the website to phpnuke, or something similar.  I will be looking around on various LUG and UUG websites to see what they're running before making a final decision.  Does anybody have a suggestion?

We were originally planning to have a forum on the website, but I think that this mailing list is more than suficient for group communications.   Hopefully we can get a browsable index of this list on our (new) website.

Please reply with which days you're available to meet, and we will come up with a date that most people can make.  Even if it is Thursday :-(

Also, if you know somebody that may be interested in joining, give them instructions on signing up for our mailing list!
